I've been wanting to buy dumbbells for a long time, to do my morning exercises.
I was lying on my bed, reading a recent book about punks, and Vadim says to me: "Here, look, there's a sale in the online store, just for you"
I checked this out, and found out that you can buy this kind of 20KG dumbbell for 40$ or a pair of 10KG ones for 48$.

An adjustable dumbbell weighing 22 KG for 40$
But 10 KG will be too little for me in the long run, and 20 is too much and too expensive, after all I need 2 of them.
But for the greedy and the poor there is a harsh Soviet solution
Used Soviet dumbbells, 12 KG each, for 9$ for both
However, I won't stoop to such extremes. Tomorrow I'll go to a sports store in real life, assess the situation.
If it's more expensive - I'll order on the Net. With free delivery. The courier is going to be thrilled, 40 KG and 8 KM from the center.
UPDATE: Forgot to mention: progress has come a long way. After seeing this, only an idiot wouldn't understand just how bad things were with mass consumer goods in the USSR.
